Hangry

This particular Snickers commercial always makes me laugh. I love Betty White and her sense of humor. I think the intended audience is anyone with a stomach, or anyone who gets hungry. The secondary audience may be anyone who likes chocolate or candy bars. The commercial suggests that "you're not you when you're Hungry". Meaning that some of us get sluggish, confused, or like myself "hangry" which is anger caused by hunger for those of you who have never heard of this made up word. The specific goal of this commercial is to influence the audience to curb your hunger and get you acting back to normal by eating their product. I think this series of commercials is pretty successful in achieving its goals, because they pretty accurately display how we all tend to act when we have gone too long without eating. If you've never seen the other commercials I urge you to YouTube "You're not you when you're hungry" and see some other the other amusing videos.

  1. Those are pretty funny commercials. I also like the one that includes "The Brady Bunch". I think that this company has really done a great job using humorous texts to sell their products.

  2. I think this is a good commercial. I have seen most of them from that particular campaign. I think we have all felt that "hangry" feeling so we can easily relate. We do this to children all the time, if they are fussy they are sleep or hungry. I think Snickers does a good job promoting their product in this way.
